Maybe just a simple solution but I just can't wrap my head around it. I installed a set of LED tail lights in my 02 Z and now when I hit the brakes or turns signals it almost totally statics out my radio. Like when turns are flashing radio will flash along with them or foot on brake radio is just static.
Any ideas ?
ANyone had this problem?
Doesn't affect CD or Ipod, just radio.
Thought I might add that I have not installed a resistor or flasher fix yet as they do blink a little faster but not ungodly.
Thanks
I replaced the whole light with the Depo LED's. I really haven't done any troubleshooting yet but was just wanting to know if this was a normal problem or if anyone knew the fix before I went fishing for it.

Do you have a factory or aftermarket audio system?
I had the same problem. When I purchased my car it came with LED tail lights that were assemblies (not just bulbs). When ever they were on (brakes, turn signals) the radio would be overwhelmed with static. I also have a factory BOSE system. My ultimate solution was to remove the tail lamps, deposit them into the garbage, and replace my now open holes with factory GM tail lamps. Everything now is back to working properly.
I did peek inside the tail lamp assemblies and it appears that they are internally assembled as a massive wad of resistors and hot glue. That blob was floating around in there and who knows what was wrong.
