Default Vig or yank?

I'm changing gears and TC, either Vigilanti 2800 with 2.5 STR, or Yank 3000 with 1.95 STR, who's had good/bad luck with either brand? What's the vote?

THANX!!

i dont think you'll hear anything bad about any of them.

i have a vig 2800 (they typically stall higher mine is more like 3000) and cut 1.807 first time out on street tires.

it's tight around the street (due to higher STR) which I really like.

whatever u do, get a tranny cooler on there...any high stall will generate heat and that will destroy your 4L60E

A tranny cooler is a good idea on any automatic car. Especially if you live in a hot climate ( Fla. Calif. etc). I've used tranny coolers on most of my automatic cars.

I love my Yank 3600. Its also on the tight side on the street and when that thing flashes..watch out. Great tc's. You cant even tell its that big of a stall till you floor it. Im very happy with it and get consistent 1.60 60' times on a slammed suspension.

leaning towards a Vig 2800, think I'll talk to the Circle D people next week before I order...I like a 2800 - 3000 stall, but with a higher than stock STR... both seem to offer the higher STR...

I don't know if it's my tranny or the converter or both but I have a vig 2800 and I find it to stall a fair amount higher. It does NOT feel tight on the street at all. I even had it re-stalled. I've driven a friends very similar modded vette with a 3500 yank and it feels much tighter. I get good 60s at the track and when I hit it hard the car really goes. From my experience, it seems the vig is more suited to someone who wants to track their car a lot. Of course, I may just be sensitive to it and others may just take it in stride.
