Default Better air flow to Intake?

Hello,

I have an AFE air filter which is already exposed. Is there any problem with removing the plastic cover that goes from the bottom of the bumper to the top of the radiator to let more air in? This is the cover that the stock air filter sits on.

You would decrease the air flow over the radiator and A/C condensor. Keep the shroud in place..

Or you can cut out holes in the Fog Light housing, this will also allow more cold air into your air filter area. Here is what I did. BUT BE VERY CAREFULL doing this:
1. Tape around the bumper area of the inside of the fog light scoop.
2. Take a 1/2" copper pipe, cut it about 14"
3. Take a propane and heat the end up until it is RED HOT, hold the 1/2 copper with a vise grip.
4. Carefully melt 7 holes in the lower area of the fog cover housing, even spacing, by eye...
5. Then melt 6 or 7 holes just above the lower ones, staggered like..just keep heating up the pipe and remove the 1/2 plastic holes before heating the pipe for each hole made.. it's that simple.

That's it, you made holes without removing the fog housing, simple, fast and effective.
I would post pic's but I'm unable to attach them to this forum. I can email to anyone how they look... jesse.asis@comcast.net. just request a pic. and I will send it. Good luck... worked for me...
