Default Best set up for autocrossing????

Hey guys this car is my daily driver as well but i dont mind the stiff ride i actually prefer it i think ilike it better that way. What i was gonna do was get the T1 suspension package its like 800$, change my tires and get the bilestien shocksthey are like 300$. My question is dou think that for handling i should get the bilestien springs as well or is my setup good with just the shocks????

We'd need more information about your car's setup as it is now before recommendations would start rolling in. Such as: a description of your 'daily driver', type suspension now, whether or not you have Z51, if it's a coupe, 'vert or Z06/FRC... that type of info. I'm sure many here will be glad to offer suggestions if you'll provide more details.

I have the Sway bars and Coil Overs on my 2000 FRC and I drive it to work 40 miles each way, every day. The car handles awsome and the ride quality is still very enjoyable. Stiffer spring rates are also availible and the Coil over shocks offer adjustable ride hieght.

This is a great price on these type of quality products.
e-mail me if you have any questions.

Most autocrossing events have class rules so if you start changing things like swaybars, springs etc. You get put in a class that you will have to do major mods to compete. Whereas tires are ok to change and the single most important aspect of the handling on the car.
Check the rules if you are going to autocross.

Autocrossing SCCA Solo 2 Super Stock Class:

FRC with
K&N filter
Penske adjustable shocks
Hoosier AutoX tires (stock size)

This is the very best car you can run in this class period. If your going to T1 bars and bigger tires, you better start thinking about heads and cam because your moving to a whole different autox class. Give us more details and we can give you better answers

The Z06 was not bumped to a higher class, that was a bit of mis information I had recieved about the 2002 season.

I'm good friends with THEGAME I can tell ya a lil about hsi car that he is leaving out. well where you can get the T1 Swaybars is http://www.c5-corvette.com/catalog/index.htm $725.00
Kit includes: Teflon lined heavy duty Heim-Joint end-links, and high durometer polyester filament lined rubber bushings. The race version has polyurethane bushings instead of rubber. For more serious autocrossing and high speed road courses we recommend the more aggressive "Race" sway bars. These are the bars used by GM for the T1 series racing C5s.
THEGAME has about a 20 min highway ride to work of the highway he has to take a badly paved road that is used for trucks delivering to warehouses. He does not drive the car all over the place after work it normally jsut sits at his house maybe he takes it out when on the weekend to his other job on saturday which is a 30-45 min highway drive with lights and then through a bad city. a lot of this going on :boxing He has had the car for 3 weeks now and he loves it hell I think I like it more then he does :D He says he is not going to run at the 1/4 a lot and wants the car to handle better then it does now. Someone help him out cause he don't wanna listen to me. :jester
