Hypertech PP3 - Return to Stock does not work....what can I do?
OK, so I follow the instructions to return my car to stock programming. When it is done, my car won't start. It acts like it is out of gas. Low Fuel comes up on the DIC and then it flashes Service Soon. I'm stumped.....& Hypertech customer service closes at 5PM CST :mad
I can get the car running if I restore the custome settings......

Never can quite tell what the cars are doing in their electronic brain. I had the weirdest problem this last weekend (caused by a loose battery connection), and I couldn't figure it out, so I was about to give up and call a tow truck and then I just reset the PCM and then everything was back to normal.

Jeff,
Whew...good thing it started up and everything is fine. I would have felt bad if something happened since I am buying the programmer from you. Doesn't the unit tell you if downloads or uploads are successful and complete. Anyways...it was nice doing business with you  and now all I need is patience.

Not at all uncommon. Mine seems to be really sensitive to voltage issues, though moreso when programming custom tuning which takes forever compared to restoring your stock flash. When pulling PCM fuses doesn't work, waiting 10-15 minutes usually does.
All the junk your seeing looks like the VATS stuff, usually triggered by a botched communication between the PCM and BCM. Try pulling any DTCs you might have. You might see a bunch of serial comm codes and maybe a P1631 VATS thingy.
I really wish I knew what caused all this. Sometimes I see the same sort of thing when programming with LS1-Edit. It's almost like the PCM is told to stop communicating with the BCM at some point, but that's a WAG.
