Cooling fan removal?
My right cooling fan on the radiator has seized up. Is there an easy way to remove it or get in there to see if something is caught in it before I order a new motor?
Only thing I found so far seems to require lifting the car and removing the whole assembly from underneath, is that correct?
Thanks.

No.
The cooling fan assembly is removed from the top. First you remove your air bridge and MAF.
Then you drain your coolant.
Next you remove the upper and lower radiator hose connections from the radiator.
Then you remove the coolant revervoir hose and the throttle body heating hose from the radiator.
Next, you remove the radiator cover.
Then you disconnect the plastic loops that retain the wiring harnesses around the fan assembly.
Next, you disconnect the two fan motor connectors.
Finally, you lift the fan assembly upward from the back of the radiator and out of your Corvette.
While you have it out, I would recommend that you replace the entire assembly with one of DeWitts high-output fan assemblies - http://www.dewitts.com/pages/product...asp?ProdID=378.
The DeWitts fan assembly will flow significantly more air and seeing you live in Texas, help keep your engine cooler.
In fact, while you are at it, you should consider a DeWitts Direct Fit radiator - http://www.dewitts.com/pages/product...asp?ProdID=343 if you have an automatic
or
http://www.dewitts.com/pages/product...asp?ProdID=320 if you have a six-speed.
Good luck in your decision.

It's also time for some Aluminum duct tape across the bottom of the Radiator and the Air Conditioning Condenser. Leaves and other debris and be sucked up in the space between the two.
Good luck with your Vette.
