Re: Powerloader, shift kit or both on a 2.73 A4? (Fast one)
Is using both overkill?
Not with that rear end! You need all the help you can get! Please don't take this the wrong way, because I also had this gear in my Vette. The best thing I ever did was to take it out and put a 3:42 rear end in the car along with a aftermarket Torque converter. Even the optional 3:15 performance gear is worlds better than the 2:73.

Don't waste your money until you plan to do the gears(3.42) my friend :nono:
I had the 2.73's and I KNOW what you going through.I'm telling you there ain't no helping those 2.73's...:D If you want to did a Transgo shift kit that will help with the soft soggy stock shifts and certainly be of help when you do do the gears and converter.the transgo kit is a great little mod .Just get someone who KNOWS how to install it.I have it and even with the Powerloader it's a great mod.First you need to lose thos e gears..Mine are in a box in the garage..DEAD WEIGHT!! :D
Re: Powerloader, shift kit or both on a 2.73 A4? (Lurker)
I currently still have the 2.73s and they do suck. But the Powerloader helps SO MUCH!!! This is a must in teh 2.73, and in any A4 without a doubt. My friend has a 2.73 without the loader and it is disgustingly slow. I can run faster than it I think. I cannot wait till these gears/TC and TransGo is in this semi-sled!!!
