Default T1 End Link Nut Part Number Needed! Please Help!!!!

I bought a set of new T1 GM Sway Bars and when I opened the kit I was missing a nut for the end link. You say no big deal I will go to Home Depot and get another one right? WRONG! These nuts are special and no one has the part number! Your GM dealer doesn't have it, GM Performance Parts doesn't know! These nuts are special because they are so thin and have the plastic retainer built into them. I have spent three days trying to find these nuts and or there part number! GM Performance Parts Sucks My Raw *** after this experiance! They sell a product they don't even know the part numbers to! What happened if Corvette Racing lost an end link bolt at a race and had to call GM Performance Parts? Screwed like me! I am very upset right now!

If you purchased a brand new kit, why not just have the vendor rectifiy the issue? Based on the pics I have seen, this is a self locking nut (I believe this is what you are calling a plastic retainer). Obviously the height is low to get minimum thread engagement. Find out the type of thread, and check McMaster Carr..or just do an internet search.

I agree, contact the vendor and get it straightened out. GM doesn't know the part number because there isn't one. You have to buy a whole end link to get it.

If you don't want to go back to the vendor, try Pegasus Auto Racing's web site. If you search their web site for Thin Nylock Jam Nut, I think you will find what you are looking for.
