Just installed headers/exhaust now backfiring

I just installed dynatech headers/high flow cats and corsa pace exhaust two weeks ago. Car was running great. Suddenly today my car is backfiring if i downshift and my rpm's get too low (1500). Also, when standing at idle if I rev engine the response is not fast. There seems to be a delay from when I push throttle and rpm's increase. what can it be? I also have diablo tuner, kn cold air intake.

Have you check the security of the plug wires? Have you inspected the O2 wiring to see if it is damaged from heat?

Check all exhaust connections as, air entering the exhaust stream will cause this as well.

Is it a pop when you let off gas.

If so, thats not a backfire, thats an amazing sound stopped by stock exhausts.

Check your plug wires. My Z used to slowly burn thru them on both sides of the engine bay at the rear. I ended up having to get some Sleeves to keep the wires from burning.
