Speaking of unfair advantages, what do you think of the current rules package? I always wondered why the C5's went from the front of the grid in 2000 to the middle of the grid in 2001. I heard rumors of the Speedvision C5's having problems with a light front end at speed. Any truth to this?

Man, you had a great start! I really enjoy that series. Did you talk to Pete after the race? He's seems to be a pretty stand up guy and a good racer.

PD obviously didn't see me, as he probably would have won the race if this hadn't happened (his lap times were waayyy fast).
There is no problem with the C5, the other cars are just a little better. The turbo charged Audi and the Supercharge NSX seem to get faster and faster, no matter what new limitations SCCA throws at them.
Yes, the tires are a limiting factor, but our cars have 400lbs more downforce than the GA cars, so I can't complain.

Forgive me for being a little slow, but how are the other cars better. I thought the c5 had more horsepower and with coilovers would corner as good as the others. I know the nsx is lighter but the corvette could handle way more horsepower than either the nsx or th audi. I've gone to the spped channel to look up the series rules but cant find anything. Every NSX Ive run into on the street that would actually raced I SMOKED. Could you shed some light on this for me.

I wondered what happened. I watched the race from turn 4 and couldn't understand why you dropped back so far at the start. I had some great pictures of you but lost them when my camera memory glitched.

The NSX in our series is Supercharged and about 100lbs lighter than the C5. The Audis' are especially souped-up AWD Turbo models as well.
The engine in this race made 420 HP at the rear wheels, and my car weighs are 2800lbs empty. You can imagine the power the other cars must be making.
