A simple fuel inquiry!
Hey all...I actually found a flexfuel supported station about a mile from where I live
...2.39 a gallon.
There any chance in hell that our 2000 Coupes could run on it? What's the deal with that?

Vettes are not flex fuel capable-what's the point anyway, you get about 20% less mileage on E85.

Not compatible with your car and the loss of power and fuel mileage actually would cost you more.

Oh wow, okay that makes sense to me...but just to clarify, E85 is actually less effective, or is it that my car simply isn't set up for it and will therefore make it less effective...?

Less effective for what? It has less energy per gallon so even if the car was setup for it, you gain nothing.

Flex fuel vehicles also have different material in the seals and gaskets. E85 will eat away at your Vette's fuel system

Then you would really be stuck with a garage queen....
Seriously, Vettes are not E85/Flexfuel capable. It will destroy the fuel system, no if, and's or but's about it.
