Help removing clip from parking brake (inside car)

Help removing clip from parking brake (inside car)

I've got a replacement parking brake assembly (mine didn't ratchet) I got the parking cable released from the assembly but cannot get this clip out. Its almost like you need some sort of "sleeve" that presses all the ears in at once. Any idea how to get this out?

I've tried pushing on each ear one at a time and rocking it out... sigh Help!

take a flare nut wrench slip open end over cable push towards park brake assembly and depress clips wiggle cable in circulr motion while pulling cable back sometimes it fights you but it will come off w/no damage and to install just push back on
