Default Converting to LS7

Going to replace a stock LS1 and with an LS7 (24 tooth reluctor) with all of the goodies, cam, ported heads, PTB, ported intake, Kooks, 100 mm mass air sensor, etc. What do I need to do for a starting spot for tuning. I know that the Halltech mass air sensor requires a change in programming when added to a stock LS7 but this ecm will have a stock LS1 tune to start.

Please educate me!!!

Thanks

This will obviously not be a stock LS7. With a cam, head, maf ect. change you will need , from scratch, a custom tune. You could try a mail order tune to start with from an experienced tuner like Charlie Williams then tweek the tune from there. Or just trailer it to a tuner when you get everything installed.
That 427 should be a world of difference from your old LS1!
Hope all goes well for you!

I'm wondering how much added weight this will give the car.. paticularly on the front/rear weight ratio for handling purposes..

I don't think that there is that much of a difference in wieght between the LS1 and LS7. I am going to use a wet sump system so there will not be a dry sump tank. I know that the C5R Block is about 10 lbs heavier but that is not any big thing. It should be real close.
