Stick with your LS6. The LS2 is a 90mm. Yes its bigger, but it doesnt flow as well as the LS6.

Agreed^. LS6 intake outperforms an LS2 intake. If you are looking to upgrade the intake then pick up a F.A.S.T. manifold.

Since you already have headers, wait to do the FAST until you do a cam change...and you'll have a great combo.

You'd be able to sell the LS6 for a few hundred if you buy the FAST.

I have been told that GM began to use LS6 intakes on all the C5s after mid 2001. Is this true?

All LS1 and LS6 have the same intake from 2001 on.

Slide on over to Speed, Inc and let them at least give you a quote. They're right next door to you in Schaumberg.

Next time I'm in the area I need to swing by there and browse a little. My kid lives in Streamwood and I come up for a visit occasionally. Been to Pilot Pete's at the airport for lunch and at the time didn't even realize it was right down the street.

Start a "mod jar" and contribute to it on a regular basis. Before you know it your in HC territory.

Are u basing ur answer for a stock motor na ? I personally have an Ls2 on a sc 402 and would. Not put a LS6 intake on my car.u will defiinatley be bottlenecking with the stock tb.but for stock cubes leave ur ls6 intake on,the fast intake hAs wayyy to much corvette tax added to it

Another great and cheaper option is to send your LS6 intake to TPIS and have them install thier 90mm snout; and no worries about vacume leaks that the FAST is infamous for.

So you are saying if you add a supercharger then running the LS2/90mm would be better than leaving the LS6/78mm on it? I guess that makes sense. I'm still curious why the LS2 supposedly doesn't flow as well as the LS6. Did GM design the LS2 intake just so they could bolt on a 90mm TB?

Yes i was basing my post on a NA ls2. The same would hold true for forced induction(a less restrictive intake will make more power).
Here is a link to a test between an ls6 and ls2 intake.
