Im now at a race event and everything worked fine but all the sudden the var wont start it just fires up for one sec and dies everytime I tryes to start it. I have searched for the reason for two days now but cant find anything. But i know that I have spark and fuelpressure all the time. The feul shuts down somehow
sometimes the car starts and works perfect but the NeXT time it wont start.......
No codes...how about the security light, what is it doing? Any DIC messages? First thing to check would be the fuel pump to insure its running. Next sounds like in the realm of the ignition switch itself. Battery connections are a must of course and same down at the starter solenoid which is the electrical center of the car. Do not forget that its electrically hot down there. Look for burned or overheated wire insulation. Also look at the negative battery cable which I believe connects to the engine block directly adjacent to the starter. That's the location on the C-6 so I'm assuming its similary location on the C-5. I don't remember seeing it on my C-5 but obviously it needs to be looked at.
