I can seem to get the passenger side to be parallel to the rear of the car (looking at it from the side). It seems to stick out at a 80 degree angle toward the right. Anybody know how to fix this? Also, how far to the muffler hangers slide into the grommets they hang from? Should they be sticking way out the other side of the grommet? Thanks.
I've had my entire exhaust system loosened up before and this gives you the ability to make adjustments in alignment. It helps a lot to have a helper to tell you when the tips are aigned and to hold things in place while you tighten it up.
On mine done yesterday, the muffler strap went all the way in until flush in the rubber hanger piece. However, the pipes coming out of the muffler were angled, therefore no matter what we did, the tips were off.
The drivers side was perfect. I think there might be a problem with the passenger side ones.
I was going to ask for another one, but as you know, I am not pleased with my set of PRTs, (quiet & UNagressive), so I have asked for a different set with the Speedway tips to see if it makes a difference.
Hopefully it will.
