Default Depo projector light install

Does anyone have any tips to offer on installing Depo lights? Do they mount into existing mounting holes or?? How do you aim them to get proper light beam height and lateral position?

Thanks for any tips you can offer.

Drill out the mounting holes on the brackets where the bracket attaches to the car. Gives more adjustment to help get the gap equal all around the headlight. My left one went in fine, no issues with getting the gap set. The right was a diffferent story. Hours turned into days getting the gap set right. Don't think I ever got the gap set to where I was 100% happy. Didn't last long....pulled the lights out after about 2 or 3 weeks when I installed some magnesiums. Depos didn't look good IMO with that wheel choice. But I did like the look, just not with my new wheels. I think I aimmed the lights all the way down, and where perfect at that point. Reminds me....I gotta go post those Depos for sale, either here or CL

You do have to drill a hole in the bumper for the front bracket and as GBsC5Vert said you should widen the holes in the brackets to allow for more adjustment. In my case it took more time to widen the holes than it did to install the lights, the metal for those brackets is pretty tough. I also adjusted the brackets by bending them just a little here and there, I don't know why GBsC5Vert had so much trouble, mine aren't perfect either but they are close. And with my HID setup in the Depo's and in the fogs, plus switchbacks in my new front corner lenses there's no way I'm going back to 1970's/1980's popup lights.
I love the look, my car looks so much more modern with all of the new lights up front, I've had several vette owners stop me to ask about my light setup, not to mention the stares I get just cruising around town, even non-vette owners know something is different when they look at my car. I'll post pics when I get a chance, also you'll find more info in the C5 General Forum than you will here, I also had the top of my lights painted black to match the car, this is a must in my opinion!
