Please help!!!! I installed clb still getting errors
I installed the clb from Corvettes of Houston and I'm still reading errors and I've tried everything posted on the sticky thread above what do I do now ?
It would have been installed in series between the actuator male connector and the female connector that is attached to the bottom of the dash? If present BOTH ends need to be disconnected. If your CLB is plugged into a female connector that has only 2 wires, one white and one purple, then you plugged tthe CLB into the K Harness and that will not work.
Have you cleared all codes in the BCM and error messages in the DTC? Most reliable way to do that is to disconnect the neg battery cable for at least 10 minutes.
What was the reason for installing a CLB? Preventative measure? Or were you experiencing the column lock symptoms and needed a CLB to get around the problem?? If the latter exactly what symptoms were you experiencing?
Did you check the battery to make certain the cable connections are clean, bright and tight.?? Starter wire also but remember that is electrically HOT.
Did you measure the battery voltage with a digital voltmeter directly across the battery posts with NO KEY in the ignition? What was the voltage measurement? Needs to be a minimum of 12.5 volts for the column lock electronics to function correctly? Don't bother with dash gage readings they cannot tell you the state of health of the battery. Weak battery or loose/dirty battery connections are the MOST COMMON cause of the column lock symptoms.
More when you tell us whether it is an A4 or Mn6 and answer the questions above.
It's a 99 A4 coupe and I removed the K harness but havnt checked the voltage
Pull key wait 10 sec and still having fuel shut off over 2 mph
I have been having this issue for nearly 3 years now.....

Read the last 3 pages of posts in the Column Lock FAQ stickey. Poster Tracyz had a problem with his that turned out to be a bad relay. Your relay will be a differnt part number than yours because of the year difference in your car vs his 2002.
Did you do the procedure to pull fuse 25 again for a 10 minutes from the fuse panel in the passenger footwell? I believe there is a section near the end of the instructions for the CLB that covers this situation. Or maybe I found it in these instructions only, don't recall. http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=24 (covers this just before section 3 there). Either way, mine did this as well right after adding the CLB until I did that part of the reset procedure.
