Default The dreaded service AHS/TCS/ABS light with and unknown code!

Well I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. Here are my codes.
TCS-C1214-C1287-C1288

Now after some short research I know what the 1214 and 1287 are. I just replace the Active handling sensor about 2 weeks ago! So I don't know why that one is throwing a code. Now I'm like 90% sure why the 1214 is throwing after looking at the ground and plug so that will get cleaned tonight when I get home. What I don't know is the 1288 code, cause I couldn't find that anywhere. So any help please?

Yeah I already read all that. I just replaced the sensor, could a wire be loose, and could this have anything to do with my trunk lid button not working?

Which ground? I just replaced my steering wheel sensor and still continued to get C1287. I cleaned G104/108 (next to the battery) it appears to be gone. I was curious if this is the ground you also checked.

Actually the plug I cleaned was on the driver side between the radiator and altanator. Tussme sent me to the utlimate DIY thread and on thread 69 there are 3 links to a place you can look this problem up. I pulled the plug took a dremel wire wheel and polished up the contacts. Put it back together and alls good. Now getting the plug apart is a bitch, but is possible. But look at those write ups. You may want to go ahead and clean the contacts on this other plug anyway.

Here's a link to where you need to go

I've been having issues with the same codes - Service ABS, Service Active Handling, Service Traction control. I've cleaned the grounds, but after a few weeks the messages return. This past weekend, I was running the car at a Slalom event and discovered when I put the car into Competitive Mode, the error messages went away. They remained gone for 2 days then today reappeared. I again hit the Competitive Mode button - codes went away. Any thoughts on this? (2002 Z06).

I'd be willing to bet the sensor on the steering shaft is bad. That's what I had to replace on mine. The reason I wrote this thread was to see something else since I had already replaced the sensor. It was pretty easy honestly, and the plug is just a minor fix. I know mine was bad cause there was literally sand in the plug (God knows how that go there). Anyway to start cheap and work your way deeper in to you pocket, I'd get the steering sensor replaced. It's anywhere from (supposedly from the dealership) $40 or $70ish from gmpartshouse. I'd just go with the gmpartshouse cause I don't trust dealerships. Especially after reading the crap work they've done on a lot of guys on this forum. Just go to www.gmpartshouse.com, it's a link on this site but anyway do a search for the keyword "sensor" and look for the steering positon sensor, make sure you get the right one cause there is one for the non telescopic steering wheel, and for the telescoping one. When I did my order I included my VIN to get the right part. Any questions feel free to ask.
