A4 acting up.
I drove my C5 last night for the first time in over a year.New motor and built A4 that worked perfect just before I put it away.Trans already had 2000 miles on it and was untouched during mod process except for restalled convertor.Everything worked fine for about 100 miles and then trans would not shift out of 2nd.No leaking fluid underneath.Even shifting manually it won't come out of second and I had to take it up to 4000 RPM to get it to shift out of first.One thing I did notice is the speedo had stopped working.Does a 4L60E need a speed reading to shift?

Yes -- the shift tables have 2 parameters---Throttle position and MPH --Thats only for part throttle operation---BUT at WOT it uses RPM and MPH---- Try to disconnect your battery for 1-2 hours and let the ECM unload--- try it again--
