My #2 cooling fan is inoperable. It was blowing the fuse on occasion then it quite working all together ,yet not blowing the fuse. I assumed my fan motor was bad. I decided to go ahead and upgrade to a dewitts radiator and fan upgrade. I thought this would rectify the bad fan motor issue as well. Just installed it all. Everything is hooked back up. The dewitts fan assembly has OEM electrical motor connections. Now neither fan will engage and the A/C will not stay on cool; just blows without engaging the a/c compressor. Could I have a bad relay for the fans? How do you check for a bad relay? Not sure what is going on.

Hi,
Did you check all your fuses? A test light works great and makes them easy to check.
If the A/C and fans aren't working after the upgrade maybe you missed connecting something. Use a test light and check if there is power is getting to the fans. If you have power maybe there is a grounding problem. As for a relay, I presume you have a C5? If so open the under hood fuse box and you will see three relays with #3604 on them. you can switch them and see if that helps.
Don't forget you have to bring the coolant temp till the computer kicks on the fans or until there should be power to them.
Here is a link to a picture of the relay's. http://www.saccitycorvette.com/Befor...-COOL-IT-.html
Good luck and let us know what you find.
