I dyno'd my car today after putting a Vortex Rammer on last weekend and am all smiles ..... mostly.
I went from 301.3/319.3 rwhp/rwtq absolutely bone stock to 310.4/330.0 using the Vortex with the stock air bridge. The improvements are what I expected based on the experience of others here on the forum.
What I don't understand is the knock I'm getting in the upper rpm ranges and the odd little dips at +/- 5,200 and 5,700 rpm. The engine starts to knock; and, judging by the A/F ratio it looks like the pcm is throwing fuel at the knock in order to correct the problem.
I'm thinking plugs, wires (maybe?) and a cooler thermostat might help. Has anyone run into this before, and what did you do to correct it?
You're dyno graph is a splitting image of mine that I just did today at LG Motorsports. When my car was bone stock, my car had 1 hp and 1 tq more than your car. With my only mods being an x-pipe and B&B Rt 66 exhaust, I dynoed 311rwhp and 331 rwtq today. My dyno graph has no dip in the upper range like yours does tho. LGM installed my Vortex and WCC powerduct today. I will redyno at the LG dyno day this coming weekend. Now I am curious to see if my graph will have a dip in the upper rpm range (due to the installation of the Vortex). :smash: Looks like you gained 9hp 11tq with the Vortex setup. I hope I get similar or better results. SOTP meter tells me it gained something. :yesnod:
