I am having issues with my driverside headlight. Sometimes it will flip and sometimes it won't. The passenger side works fine. I had a new motor put in it two weeks ago and the issue has begun again. The car is currently at a Chevrolet dealership to get looked at.

The other reason why the car is at the dealership is because the steering column locked up. Yes, I know, the dreaded "service steering wheel" issue. I worked on it over the weekend and actually got it unlocked and working after I took the negative terminal off the battery and then hooked it back up. I thought my problem was solved until later in the day when I went for dinner came out side and the column was locked again and this time the battery quick-fix didn't work. I had to get the car towed to a dealership and that is where it is sitting right now. I assume they will put on another k-harness, they did check my vin # and the recall was done to the car in 2004.....

Any suggestions for my Vette issues... It is currently awaiting help for the headlight and steering column issues at the dealership.. I was just curious as to what the problems could be or any solutions.... My wife and I bought this car two weeks ago as a gift for each other because we just got married 3 weeks ago!

 

If you replaced the headlamp motor and the problem came back, its probably the headlamp switch or lastly the headlamp controller...probably the switch. Congrats on the gift and the wedding. Wishing you many anniversaries to come in the future years.

One motor sounds like the headlight controller or something is binding enough to stick it down. The headlight switch should cause both to not work.

A column lock bypass is your best bet for that and remove the K harness.
