The poster stated that the unit came w/ longer bolts, making that a true spacer.
Are you getting a spacer and the Vararam throttle body "Velocity Stack" mixed up? One is a spacer and the other commonly referred as nonsence/Snake oil, is a volicity stack INSERT.
Well I think I have to call on the guy that says he saw 8 more horsepower on a dyno. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I'm pretty sure airflow mods won't show up on the dyno as they only increase power as AIR IS FLOWING THROUGH THEM... The car is sitting still on a dyno and no air is flowing...
As far as whether the spacer actually increases power at speed, I have no idea. But I'm thinking your getting some info from an unreliable source...
Actually you are incorrect.Any intake mod that will increase air flow will show up on a dyno as the engine can breathe better. All mods, intake, cam, heads or exhaust are really just moving more air through the system. You have air flow whether the car is moving or not, that doesnt mean the stack actually works though.
Lengthening the intake track usually increases velocity therefore helping low and midrange response. Taken too far and you lose volume flow hurting higher rpm hp.
