Well, I Sea Foam'd my car this weekend. Not much smoke came out. I used 1/2 can through the PCV inlet and 1/2 can in the fuel tank. I don't really notice a difference in how it runs, because it has always ran pretty smooth. I did a few WOT runs and I don't hear any more pinging. I will install my catch can this weekend and be on my way! Thanks for everyone's contributions to this thread.

I was having a pinging issue at higher RPM's last year as well. Car ran fine otherwise.

Before this season I replaced the plugs and wires. The pinging has never returned.

When was the last time you replaced your plugs/wires?

I replaced my plugs at 58K miles (6 years ago) and still have the original wires. I guess it's about time.

I installed my Catch Can from Elite Engineering this weekend. Excellent product and a snap to install. The car seems to be running great and haven't heard pinging lately. I'm going to drive it all week to work and see how she's doing. The next thing to do when I get some time is to replace the plugs and wires.

Thanks everyone.
