Charge system failure
In the last 2 weeks I've seen that message twice. And last weekend I got the dreaded column lock. But I seem to have all the starting power I need. I got by the locked column with the old wheel tilted down and turn hard to the right trick.
What does this "charge system failure" mean if my battery seems fine?

The multi-pin electrical connector on the alternator could have loose/dirty pins, and/or the large battery cable on the back of the alt case could be loose/dirty.
I'd disconnect the battery completely, then remove, inspect, clean, and re-install both. Re-test and let us know how it goes.
