Trouble shifting to reverse in 98 A4 HELP!

HI Folks,

My vette is a 98 A4 and has been a nightmare to mantain this summer - over $3500 in different repairs in 3 months. Here is a new problem: When shifting from Park to Reverse sometimes the lever just gets stuck and wont move. After multiple attempts it grinds into reverse. This has been bothering me time to time and happens at least 1-2 times a week. Has anyone run into this before? I hope the transmission is not going to die on me :-(

I'd definitely have your fluid checked out man. Not good to have rough shifting.

To start, I would check both ends of the cable to make sure the ends are okay. Might need to lube the cable. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.
