I went into the dealers parts dept to order a headlight motor (hereafter called an actuator) that my reseach indicated would cost an outrageous $347.00. I planned to install a repair kit in the old one for a spare. The parts counter rep informed me the part was no longer made and I would have to buy the whole headlight assembly for over$1K. I told him to keep looking and after much pecking on the keyboard, said they changed the part number and the new no. was available. I said OK and ordered it. I related this to the service writer and she informed me that the info was correct, an entire headlight replacement was necessary. I showed her the invoice for the actuator only and she seemed surprised. Moral is: dont let them sell you a whole assembly. The part No. is 19207409 and lists for $365.92. We shall see if it is the correct part.

Go on EBay and order either the $25 plastic gear/kit or the $45 brass kit and rebuild the motor yourself. A second choice would be to buy a used motor for less then $100......
99 out of 100 times it's the gear/black rubber that needs replacing not the motor.
