throttle body porting how to???

hey guys i am thinking about doing a mild porting and polish to my ls1 throttle body. does anyone have a how to on this procedure. i have searched and looking into this mod but i want it to be perfect. i know you have to be very careful in the porting as to if you port past where your blade sits then you will trash the whole thing. any advice and what is all needed to do this? thank you guys so much.

Plenty of opinions on this-the "conventional wisdom" is pay the $100 or so to have a pro do it. Plenty of threads on this, do a search.

yea i would like to have a pro do it but i like to do things myself. i plan on going into the mechanics industry. i have done a search but either the search doesnt work very well or im doing it wrong because it brings alot of random things that i dont even want to search for.

I think it's a waste of time anyway-need more CFM, get a bigger TB.

ok thanks. what all do i do for throttle body coolant bypass? i am not expecting any performance gain at all... i just want to do it because of that little tube that is a PITA to put on.

I find that a Google search for my question most often times brings up a thread to this forum and is exactly on point to my question. The Google bots have an amazing cache and very acurate hit rate.

On here if you put "quotation" marks around your search will help.....
