Wheel alignment with Michelin Run Flats

Wheel alignment with Michelin Run Flats
Has anyone had issues with bringing their car to a alignment shop that has Michelin run flat tire mounted? Just had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP RunFlat mounted and took it to a reputable alignment shop. They said due to the tire sidewall extending beyond the lip of the wheel the alignment head can not be mounted properly to the wheel. Never heard of this before and they have never experienced this before either. I have no idea what equipment they are using.
Has anyone heard of this before? Can anyone recommend a shop in central CT that has experience with this specific tire?

Find another shop. I ran those tires (the older version) for two years and never had any problem getting the car aligned.
BTW those tires were designed and built specifically for the C5 Corvette.

got different wheels than stock?
Michelin specs show this is the front tires you should have for a stock C5 with 17" front tires?
245/45ZR17 ZP 95 Y ...if so,
have you installed different/after market wheels (than the stock wheels that came on the Vette)...that could have a narrower rim (lip-to-lip) width ....allowing the 45ZR sidewall to be wider than those wheel lip-to-lip widths.
