Last week while driving my car I on got hard on the throttle and my traction control system tried to come on which has happened in the past I have 800rwhp. However, this time the car freaked out lost power and I could only go 25mph. So I pulled over and turned off the car. When I turned it back on it told me to remove the key for ten seconds then restart I did and everything was ok but my traction light was still on. I went to lunch and when I came back out the light was off so I thought everything was good. So yesterday I drove the car for about 20min with no lights not drving it hard. When I went to leave later I got a message on the dash that said Service Vehicle Soon and both my abs and traction lights are now staying on. My mechanic ran a scan and it says that there is no communication with the traction system. I assume I would need to go to a dealer to find out exactly what is wrong with it. Does anyone have any ideas. My mechanic can only pull drivetrain codes so he is not sure what the issue. PS when press my traction button nothing happens.
i just went through something similar(wish I had 800hp) if you pull codes and under tcs you get only "no comm" then start by checking fuses then grounds after that http://modulemaster.com/en/services/index.php
most ecbm's with no comm cant be repaired but they have rebuilt units with a 5 year warranty alot cheaper than a new one.
I checked the 10amp fuse and it is ok what all other connections should I check before I figure out that I need a new ABS module. Also what does a rebuilt one cost? Also where is the ABS module?
