rocker panel damage..help

So I bought my 01 z06 last sunday and have been out of my driveway twice. Both times I can get the frame not to hit on the front but sideways is not preventing me from scraping the rockers...I purchase the rocker savers this morning. Any ideas on how to avoid this in the meantime while theyre being shipped? Perhaps backing in? My driveway is not that steep but I am on a slight hill. maybe coming into my driveway facing down hill? WOnder if that makes a difference

You could also be lowered to much and that is causing the problem. Lots of guys like to lower their cars to get that look.

Success!!! Came home in the opposite direction (downhill) no scrape woo hoo
