I read the sticky and checked my car over every thing seams ok.The problem started after i removed passenger door motor. Then i started car and moved it to see better.I got the code to remove key for a few seconds and restarted car then got the steering column lock car will start and move a few feet and stall (the recall has been done on the car) i put the new window motor in the window now works but i still have steering column lock code and can not get rid of it i also put another battery in it

The GM recall is useless and does not work. It eventually fails. You need to remove or undo whatever they did (probably Harness K) and install a proper CLB.
Does your steering wheel ever lock or hase the locking ring been removed.
A quick fix if you have the K-Harness installed under the steering column is to remove the K-Harness and plug it back into the steering lock motor. The relay has a history of the contacts going bad. Mine went bad last week so I removed the K-Harness and plugged the lock motor back in and all was well. I immediately ordered a CLS form Corvettes Of Houston and installed it Friday to completely eliminate the problem.
The column lock issue has been beaten to death and is very well documented in the sticky.
Lets see how long this thread last before it is locked.
Get yourself a Column Lock Bypass Kit from Thunder Racing or Corvettes of Houston and follow the instructions included with the kit. In case you don't understand what is happening I will try to explain it. When you put the key in and turn it to run the BCM computer turns on a motor in the column to unlock it. The motor drives a pin and it retracts until it engages a switch which sends a signal back to the BCM letting it know the column is in fact unlocked. When the ignition switch is turned off and the key is removed the BCM reverses the voltage to the motor and it drives the pin the other direction to lock the column. The unlock switch is opened and the BCM is happy. If any of that gets out of sequence the BCM issues the dreaded column lock service message. Since you have the auto the first or second recall should of removed the locking plate that the pin actually engages thus making it impossible for the wheel to lock up, however if you have the service column lock message the BCM will let the car start but will not let you drive faster than two miles an hour because it doesn't know if the column is unlocked which is the condition you have. Gm also installed a K-Harness as part of the recall which is basically what the above kits do the only difference is the GM kit left the motor wired in to keep a load on the circuit but the relay in the harness provided the feedback instead of relying on the limit switch in the column lock motor. My guess is the Relay in the GM K harness has a bad set of contacts thus not providing the input to the BCM to let it know the column is unlocked. The GM K-Harness kit with the relay is more expensive and less reliable than an aftermarket CLB Kit which is why most C5 owners opt for the aftermarket solution.
I am assuming you checked to see if all the fuses relating to the column lock circuit are their and not blown,if you haven't refer to the sticky.
Remember, what ever you do to resolve the issue the only way to reset the service column lock message is to ether remove the - battery cable or fuse 25 in the pass. footwell for several minutes.
What gm recall do you have? The K-Harness under the column or the relay under the BCM? Refer to the sticky for picks.
You will need to remove/bypass these in order to install the CLB.
Also make sure your battery is fully charged. I would dissconnect the battery and put it on a charger until you get your CLB that way you have a 100 percent battery when you install it and all the codes will be cleared. The BCM is very picky with the voltage.
This is important because the vettes computers are constantlly pulling a load on the battery and if it pulls the battery below 12.5 volt +/- The BCM will have issued with the column lock.
Reserve Capacity (RC) is a very important rating. This is the number of minutes a fully charged battery at 80 ° F will discharge 25 amps until the battery drops below 10.5 volts.
The correct gm replacement should be 78-7YR but a lot of guys are getting away with the red/yellow top optima's. I use the the delco because i like the OE apperance.
