HUD not working after DYI fix
and found the culprit to be the broken pin. I replaced it with a screw put it back together and now it wont show up at all nor does it look like anything is lit up when I checked it at night. Yes, it is turned on. I can hear the motor working in the unit when I move it down, but not when I move it up so I am assuming that this means it's getting power. I pulled out my owner's manual to see if i could find the fuse for the HUD but its not listed in the manual (unless it's listed as something other than HUD). My husband and I took the car apart again yesterday just in case we forgot to plug a wire back in but everything is where it's supposed to be. Any ideas what could have gone wrong? I love the HUD but I am not going to take it to a dealership anytime soon, hopefully it's another cheap and easy fix.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

I had an a small issue after I did the DIY fix where the image was still not displaying on the windshield right; it was now displaying too high. I ended up taking the dash out again (I can remove it now in less than 20 minutes
) and after some detective work I discovered that the gear positions of the motor and mirrior have to be in the right alignment to make the imagine display correctly. If they are off by even 1 tooth the image will not project right and it will get cut off.
