Default Heat related problem on a c5

I have a 1999 corvette it has a heat related problem. When the temp reaches 95 or higher, the vehicle shuts down while driving. It can be restarted and will run for a short time and again shut down. The dic shows several messages, service engine soon abs, traction control etc. There are no codes in the vehicles obd. When the vehicle dies, it cannot be started in the neutral position, but will restart in the park position, but will again die shortly after restarting. I have noticed that the fuel pump will not pump in neutral position without turning the key to the off position. I have replaced the fuel pump relay, and the left (driver side ) fuel pump. It made no difference.

The vehicle runs fine when the outside temperature is below 95 degrees.

The temp gauge shows normal operating range, Amp gauge shows 13 Amps, oil is normal range. The fuel pump reading is 55 psi. while running

Any ideas?

You should have codes, how are you checking for codes? With the DIC or some sort of scanner? You should be using the DIC.

Thanks for the info. here are the dic codes in the vehicle
tcs c1255 h, c1276 h, and u1016 h
bcm u1016 h
sdm u1000 h, u1016 h
ipc u1016h
ldch u1064 h
Rdch u1064 h, u1016 h,
scm u1016 h
rfa u1096 h, u1064 h, u1016 h

I cleared all the codes after making notes. You should note that I checked the connections on the pcm, removed plug and checked for corrosion. and had disconnected the battery, accounting for some of the codes.

All of those codes are history (H) after the code. Any current code (C) after the code. The U prefix codes tell us that it is having communications issues between the systems so you need to check each ground location for a loose wire. Undo them, remove the corrossion and reattach then see what you have. See the Electrical Sticky at the top by Bill Curlee, lots of good info to get you started.

I can't help but wonder if the car isn't shutting down because of a temperature protection as maybe the car is getting too hot????

Temperature protection is what I suspect too. What can I do about it?

180 to 210 degrees. When it was 100 degrees outside, it went to 220, that is with the air condition on and the cooling fans running.

pcm-no codes
tcs-c1276h (delivered torque signal ckt malfunction)
U1016h (Loss of communication with PCM)
Rtd- No codes
Bcm U1016H (Loss of Communication with PCM)
sdm-U1016H "
Ipc- U1016H "
Radio -U1016h "
Hacac-No codes
ldcm- u1016h "
Scm- U1016H "
Rfa-U1096 H (Loss of Communication with IPC)

What do the new codes tell you, any ideas?

Thanks for your help. The problem with my vehicle turned out to be the PCM. here is how i verified the problem. Exposing the PCM, and on a cool day, I used a hair dryer to heat up the PCM while the vehicle was running. The vehicle shut down when heated. I hope this little trick wil help other diy'ers. Thanks for thre forum.
