Oil Pressure Sender Unit
and I barely got around to doing it. I saw that there are a few good products here and ideas for relocation of the sender and even using one from another vehicle that would last longer. Now not everyone wants to shell out $150-200 for a relocation kit. Some can build there own but not everyone has the time. So, I found something that might help a few guys out. As some of you know, the design flaw on the oem unit is that it seems two be a two piece unit where oil eventually gets inside the electronics and ruins the sender. Well Autozone... believe it or not... has a pretty good sender. Its part# PS340 from Duralast for $40 and has a lifetime warranty. Looks like its sealed very well and the aluminum seemed to be good quality. So if it last another 8yrs then great. If not, it has lifetime warranty, only costed $40, and if you know how to use a ratchet with a 8 and 10mm socket it should take you 30min to replace. I did mine last night pretty quickly and its working just fine. Just loosen and lift the fuel rail and remove the 10 8mm bolts on the manifold. Then I just scooted the manifold forward a few inches and was able to reach it. You'll need a deep 1 1/16 socket btw. For $40 not bad. Hope this helps. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...ier=298863_0_0_
