Replaced blower control module based on info from other thread that indicated likely cause for blower not working was the resistor pack. I have the dual control auto a/c. Still does not work. Will pull blower motor and check for debris. Will hit it a couple times first. Had pulled blower fuse 51 in panel under passenger side before replacing bc module. Had slight blue flash when reinstalling. Pulled fuse and appeared OK. What next? Can autozone do bench test on blower motor?
A blue flash usually means the fuse blew again therefore a short, but its possible there was just a load on it which would be surprising if the ignition was off while you are replacing the fuses. Yes, check the motor to see if it turns manually. You can check it with an ohm meter.
Thanks for the assist. Motor bench tested fine. Added the ground and then put the blower back in. The second I clipped the leads back in the blower came on full speed. The keys were on the console!
So, I disconnected the new ground from the black wire and the motor stopped. I put the key in and turned to the on position and checked the fan operation. It worked perfectly! What a hoot.
