ls1 lift limits
Hey guys noob here to the tuning world..
I bought a used cam a while back it is a 228,232 duration cam 112lsa with .610" lift with 1.7 rockers. The question i had is does this cam have too much lift for a stock 241 headed 2002 ls1. I worried about piston slap on the valves and I was wondering if anyone else has a cam with this ballpark lift on a stock ls1. I believe the stock cam lift was in the .470" ballpark.
Any expertise would be appreciated
Also my brother has a lq9 sierra with 317 heads would this cam be a good base with headers, dual exhaust and LS6 intake for his 6.0L or too much cam for his stocker
