Default 2001 under hood insulator retainers

What is the best way to remove the old retainers from the hood. Intalling new isulator and retainers. Thanks for any help.

Hi Joe. Click onto the General section. At the top right corner of page you will see "Search this forum" click on there. Next you will see rectangle box. Type in Hood liner removal. You will see all kinds of previous post in there . Good luck.

I bought a set of auto interior panel removal tools at Harbor Freight for about $4 and they are great for removing the retainers. They are hard plastic and will not mar the paint or be to rough on the hoodliner. Be gentle and you can do it without messing up the retainers or the hoodliner.

there are really nice Snap on setups and such for like 25 bucks but harbor freight works great 4 me on these types of items
