Transmision servicing





What options do I have as far a fuilds brands. The III or the IV
I thought I would change the filter and service, then every so often drain and refill untill i have change most of it.
Will this work?

For the C5 manual:
AMSOIL Torque-Drive Synthetic Transmission Fluid (Product Code ATD1G)
(This is what I use in my 02 Z06 at the track)
For the C5 Auto AMSOIL lists both the Dexron III and VI spec'd products to be suitable, though I personally would stick with the Dexron III spec as the newer Dexron VI dropped viscosity by ~40% to help lower CAFE ratings. For the Vette, I'd want the higher viscosity protection:
Dexron III spec option:
AMSOIL Multi-Vehicle ATF (Product Code ATFQT)
Dexron VI spec option:
AMSOIL Low Viscosity Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATL) (Product Code ATLQT)
