The alternator fried in my 03Z today. I need to know the difference between the 110Amp and the 150Amp. Yes 40 more amps got that one however, will it hurt the car to run the larger alt on it?
The part number off the alternator I took off is 10305776 ( 145A )
Whats the difference between the auto alt vs the manual alt?

Auto = Clutch pulley
Manual = No Clutch pulley
Z06s do not come with alternators with a clutch pulley.
"Amp" rating of an alternator does not "hurt" a car. It only supplies what the car needs, and no more (up to it's maximum capacity).
10353440 Appears to be correct for your car. 145A
If a 150 Amp supercedes the original 145 Amp on your car, use it.
Got a problem. The 150amp came in however, it has the clutch style pulley and looking into the connector it only has 2 prongs vs 3 prongs like mine. Can I use this one? The only other alts that I can find is 110 amp. I don't know what comes stock or if the one on my car was stock. I got the car with 24000 miles on it.
Thanks. Well I am waiting till Monday and taking it to an alternator rebuild shop since no one in my city can get a hold of it. Thanks everyone for your help.
