Oil Level Low ??????
I was driving home and the DIC said that the oil level was low , so I checked it, and it was down 1/2 qt .so I filled it and it still said oil level low. What could it be ? :confused: :confused:

Steve , did you stop the car and restart it ?? Sometimes it takes a little while before the system acknowledges the new oil level.
At least that has been my experience.

I've gotten low oil level on the DIC a couple of minutes into a trip, put more oil in, reset the warning, and gotten repeated low oil level messages during the trip (regardless of the fact that I just added a quart). However, when I've let the car sit for an hour or two, it then stops giving me the warning. Not sure why this happens, but I just trust the dipstick.
