Default LS6 Intake manifold question.

Putting an LS6 longblock that I purchased from SDPC in my 97 to replace the blown ls1.
I also bought the coolant tubes from them that I was told I needed to put an ls6 intake.

So when looking for a used LS6 intake, what all do I need to make sure it includes? Manifold, throttle body, do I need the ls6 injectors and fuel rail over the ls1 ones?

It will be stock with full header back exhaust, air intake, and a tune. It's an auto.

An LS6 intake includes just that....the intake manifold only.

Your stock TB will be fine, but since you have the return fuel line in the '97 I'm not sure if that will work or not.

I also think the LS6 uses a different crank sensor (different # of teeth), you old ECM won't know how to deal with it. You might want to do an ADVANCED SEARCH here to be sure. Your early ECM might have to be changed and rewired for the ECM that went with the LS6.

You can re-use all your existing LS1 parts. You will need to buy the LS6Coolant block off kit or cut small notches out of the bottom of the LS6 intake to make it fit flush.

So all you need is the intake. Hope that helps answer your question.

Thank you, I already purchased the coolant pipes. Was just making sure about the tb, rail, and injectors.
