Emergency Brake Help PICS!
Can you identify the part below with the proper name and also how you install it to the brake shoe hub?
Background info: My emergency brakes have not worked since purchasing the car. The cable was attached to the part below but the part below was just free floating in the shoe hub. I suspect that is the problem. I need to know how to install the piece properly in hopes of my brake working again.

That part is the actuating arm. It sticks out through the backing plate and is surrounded by a rubber grommet. The cable hooks on the small end and actuates the brake when the handle is pulled in the interior. Checked my manual and can not find a detailed illustration to scan for you. Another idea is to remove disc on the other side of the car and see if that side is assembled and working properly, it will be a mirror image. Maybe some one else that has their car apart and can snap a pic for you.

Not sure what your looking for here bro. Based on the pictures, it appears you have a service manual, with a complete parts breakdown, and it will also give you a description of operation. What else do you need?

There is a dust cover that blocks any view inside of it. I am more specifically looking for how the actuator is attached to the shoe hub. Attaching it to the cable is pretty simple as it just slides on.

It just slides in and the tension on the cables keeps everything in place-that's the best pic you'll get short of someone having theirs apart and taking a pic that probably won't have the detail you need anyway.
