Default weird ac problem

newb here with a weird ac problem, car is a 98C5 automatic, has cam, ported 5.3 heads,LS2 intake, TB,long tubes and full exhaust, new GM compressor, condensor etc etc(all installed at local GM dealership. here is my problem if i start the car with the air off and keep the idle above 1000 or 1200 RPM and turn the air on its cold,if i let off the throttle and the rpm drops under 1000 or 800 rpm it starts to blow hot instantly. if i start the car with the air off and go drive it and try to turn it on it does not work, still just hot like the heat is on,i stop turn the car off take the key out open the door and do it allover again with same result? any help is appreciated. i have had the car to the same dealership and the tech says he has no idea and gives up and blames it on the mods to the car and the tuner of my car?? he tells me with that cam fluctuating the idle my air will never work untill i can neutralize the RPM's?? any ideas? thanks

It sounds like ,because of your cam ,that you do not have enough vacuum at lower engine speeds.you may need a vac resivoir with a check valve.

It could be many things----I know however a common issue is that with LT's that one of the tubes on the PASS side comes very close to or even touches an AC line---make sure it doesn't---On mine--I had to bend the AC line out away from the header tube and then wrap the AC line with some sort of heat barrier---heating this AC line gives the AC wierd input and can cuase it to turn on/off randomly
