HUD Projector Replacment Help?
I have to replace a heads up projector in a 2001 convertible. Has anybody done one and whats involved.

Yes. It took me about 2.5 hours for my first time ever doing this. Essentially, you need to remove the center console, then the knee bolster and surround for the IP Cluster. From there, you'll need to remove the dash pad. I suggest you tie some strings to the sensors on top of it so you'll have them when you go to put the dash pad back in. Anyway, with the pad out, the HUD is easily accessible. Reverse everything to put it back together. Other than the sensors on top of the dash being a pain, its not a hard job. The most problems you might have will be around the dash pocket but maybe you'll have better luck than I did. Lost of little screws to remove and remember where they came from.
The HUD connects to the rear top of the IP Cluster, FYI via a small ribbon cable.
