Trac control/ABS light comes on often?

Trac control/ABS light comes on often?
Anybody ever had this problem.. I went through a few pages of threads didnt find anything... both trac and abs lights come on every couple of days then goes off.. doesnt leave any codes.. anybody.. thanks jim

how to retrieve codes
do this & tell us what codes you get:
with the key in the on position, but the engine not running
push and release the reset button until all messages cleared
next push and HOLD button #4
next push and release button #1 four times while holding button #4
When first engaged the on-board diagnostics go into an "automatic" mode which shows all parameters: PCM-TCS-RTD-BCM-IPC-radio-HVAC-LDCM-RDCM-SCM-RFA. If there are no problems, you will see "no more codes" on the ICP display. The computer will show two kinds of codes, "current" and "history," designated "C" or "H". A current code indicates a malfunction is present in the system whose module is displaying data. A history code indicates a past problem. When the screen displays "manual diagnostics," select the desired module by pressing the "options" button to go forward or the "trip" button to go back. Press "gages" to go forward or "fuel" to go back. To exit the diagnostic mode at any time, press "E/M".

Both the traction control system and the ABS braking system use input from the individual wheel speed sensors---
The TC system uses them to control the wheels from spinning and the ABS system uses them to control the wheels from skidding( during braking)
Often driving over railroad tracks or on a bumpy road will fault the wheel sensors by making them lose connection at the sensor pigtail
Try unplugging--cleaning with brake-clean and plugging back in each wheel sensor-----make sure none of the wires are exposed -or cut
If any of the 4 wheel sensor have a fault you will get both TC and ABS trouble lights-- as the both use the sensors --for differnt reasons
