If I understand correctly, many heads are hemispherical, but they can't call them HEMI.
Also, I thought the true HEMIs (older ones) used dome top pistons and hemispherical heads and that's what gave the hemispherical combustion chamber.
Correct. Most modern engines are "hemis" but almost all are considered pent roof hemispherical. I laughed and joked with a guy at work when he bought a new Dodge truck. "Yep, it's got a Hemi!" he says. "Hey! Me too!" I say, pointing at my Lexus SUV. He was puzzled to say the least.
