Not sure what you mean. If you mean can it work with a different C5 the answer is yes (please read owners manual). If you mean can it work on a Subaru I have no idea, but kind of doubt it.

You don't program really program FOB's, it's the car learning the FOB. Many FOB's from the same car can't be used on earlier or later models. For instance, the early and late C5 fobs are NOT interchangable-they have different electronics in the car.

Fobs for the 97-99 are the same, and have the optional passive feature. The 2000 fob is compatible with the years 97-2000, but does not have the passive feature. Fobs from 2001-2004 are the same and work on a different frequency and can not be used on 1997-2000 models.

That explains why my 1999 fob won't sync up with the 2003 ZO6. Thanks a million. Guess next move is to try and find a 2001-2004 key fob
