Common problem. Check the wiring in the door boots for bare wires.

You can also swap the passenger door control module with the driver's door control module to see if the problem travels or not. You may have two problems working at the same time and this will tell us a couple of things.

My write up will help you take the door control module out. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...w-problem.html If you determine the module is bad, I have two for sale.

My problem on the drivers door was fixed by swapping out the drivers door control module.
I bought a used one from a member parting out a car for $25.
I am now having the same problem on the passenger side, I swapped out the module, it still didn't work, popped out the elephant trunk on the door frame to inspect the wiring... no frays or breaks, then inspected the connectors. all the pins connectors where clean and not burnt. Two of the female pins looked a bit more spread.. so I compressed those a bit..... so far so good.
Thanks to Bill Curlee for the tip on the connectors....

I'm having the same problem, but the radio also stops, check engine, all gages dead, low fuel and chimes ringing.Would that still be the modular or more extensive electric problem?

ok if my drivers window goes down,it won't go back up and the passenger button on the drivers side doesn't work either. But the passenger switch does work the window on the pasenger side. When the drivers window is down the gages do not work but while driving the tac and speedometer works the on board computer tells me check engine low fuel ect. and the door bells are going off. Also the radio stops. I tried 4-5 times to get the window up no luck, then one morning I opened the driver door stuck the key in pressed the window switch in the open position keep my finger on it and started the car as I did that the window started going up while I started the car. I just left thing as they are.I tried to put the window down it won't go down. I have a 2000 with 100500 mi. What should I do for my first tune up ? Do vetts require 4-wheel alignment? I just put new tires on,noticed it pulls to the right a little.

More detailed? He just described all the classic symptoms of a class 2 serial buss problem.

To the OP, start by inspecting the wiring in the left door accordian tube.
